What we level
- Old concrete floors that have dipped or cracked
- Floors that slope room to room
- Screed floors that weren't laid flat first time
- Floor prep before tiles, LVT, timber or carpet
Latex or screed?
For small dips and a smooth finish, latex or self-levelling compound is quick and thin. Where the floor is badly out of level, a bonded or polymer modified screed is the better fix. We'll look at the floor and tell you which it needs.
Levelling compound over low-profile underfloor heating
In a renovation there often isn't the height to dig out and lay a full screed. Low-profile underfloor heating goes down on the existing floor instead, and we pour levelling compound over the pipes. You get a heated floor that's flat and ready for tiles or timber, without lifting the old floor.
Where we lay floor levelling

Questions we get asked
Do you do small levelling jobs?
Yes, no job too small. A single room or a hallway is fine.
Can levelling compound go over underfloor heating?
Yes. Low-profile underfloor heating systems are covered with levelling compound instead of a full screed, which suits renovations where floor height is tight.
How soon can floor coverings go down after levelling compound?
Thin levelling compounds dry fast, often within a day or so. We'll give you the time for your floor on the day.
