Where fibre screed earns its keep
- Large open areas where cracking is a risk
- Floors carrying heavy loads
- Commercial units, shops and warehouses
- Floors over underfloor heating that heat up and cool down every day
How we lay it
Fibres are mixed into the screed before it's pumped, so they're spread evenly through the whole floor. The photo at the top shows the fibres themselves, ready to go into the mix. It's then laid and laser-levelled like any of our sand and cement screeds.

Questions we get asked
Do I need fibre screed?
Not always. For most rooms a standard sand and cement screed is fine. On big floors, heavy-use floors or commercial jobs, fibres are worth it. We'll advise at the site visit.
Can fibre screed go over underfloor heating?
Yes, and it's a good match for it because it handles the heating and cooling well.
